Enharmonic Swing
Branding & Packaging
The concept project revolves around a music compilation celebrating the best classic Big Bands from iconic cities like New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Originally created in 2016 as a design degree assignment, the project has been revisited and enhanced to elevate the idea and improve the final execution.
The special edition music pack comprises three albums, each dedicated to the most popular songs from Big Bands representing the mentioned cities. Each album will be available in two formats: a 12-inch vinyl record and a digital copy on CD.
The project also includes unique collectibles that will be offered inside the box, making this compilation an extraordinary and memorable experience for all music enthusiasts.

In order to give the pack a unique look, a catching naming and a proper visual identity were created.
Taking the 50’s design aesthetic as a starting point, the branding itself and the general designs are a digital recreation (with a modern touch) of the characteristic elements of this era; like the vivid colours, the combination of multiple font types, the texturing, the iconography and the overall funny mood.
With the aim of immersing the consumer in the decade, the selected imaginary to be represented in the album covers were the typical 1950’s restaurants and hotels neon signs. Huge, extravagant, eye-catching, unforgettable. Is there a better way to dive into the musical culture of a city than taking a road trip down to every iconic place with live music? That is what “Enharmonic Swing” is about. Being able to close the eyes, teleport to another place and feel the music as never before.
